Uncle Benny Uyetake's Kanikapila in Wailea on February 19th with special guest; Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominee and one of Hawaiiʻs most versatile artists, Danyel Alana will be joining Benny. Get ready for a Kanikapila jam like no other!
Kanikapila, gathering together to play music, has been a well-loved traditional Hawaiian pastime. It's these types of impromptu jam sessions that create an exceptionally rare evening on the islands. Maui's musical treasure, Uncle Benny Uyetake, re-imagines Kanikapila evenings in Wailea with storytelling, and world-class music. Through the Aloha Music Series, Uncle Benny will introduce you to the new sounds from the islands and transport you to old Hawaiʻi as he hosts upcoming artists and Hawaiʻi’s legends. You never know who is gonna show up and kanikapila!!
Benny has played with some of the world's finest musicians on Maui and while touring. Over the years Benny has shared the stage with some of Hawaiʻi’s greatest trailblazers like Uncle Willie K and Barry Flanagan of HAPA, as well as the world’s most talented jazz players Les McCann, Russel Malone, and Donald Harrison. His versatility comes from his years of musical study in different genres with mentors in classical, jazz, Hawaiian, Blues, and rock.
DANYEL ALANA
Danyel Alana has a musical style that reflects her ethnic roots of growing up on the beaches of Los Angeles and Hawai’i. Weaving conscious lyrics with her soulful vocals she blends elements of funk, rock, blues, reggae, hip hop, R&B, soul, jazz, Hawaiian, pop, and country. Whether she’s solo on an acoustic or electric guitar her unbridled style and powerful vocals fuel the passion in her versatile, dynamic, and high-energy performances.
Danyel never ceases to deliver the conscious message of love, unity, and introspection through her original and cover material.

*Please note, If all Premium tables sell out, GA tickets are still available. Premium tables are available for purchase in advance and a limited number of tables will be added inside for GA ticket holders on a first-come-first-serve basis day of show. GA tickets will be offered tables on a first-come-first-serve basis for the outdoor lanai and any reserved indoor tables that did not sell.

Premium Window Tables are $20 each and must be purchased as a complete table. If your party is larger the table, please purchase your tickets and email us at: [email protected] We can increase the table sizes for window tables to accommodate larger parties.
Upper Bar Seats are $15 each and are purchased as single seats and have a side view of the stage and show, music is also piped into the bar area.
Outdoor/Bar General Seating/Tables are $15 a seat and purchased as single tickets. When you arrive, our host will get you to the best possible table or seat available for you and/or your party.

Premium Seats are all table purchases and General Outside/Bar are individual tickets.
